New report indicates rapid adoption despite mixed reactions from users.
Even though iOS6 has received a few mixed reactions from users, people are still option to upgrade their devices to the latest iOS.
According to a report published by Chitika Insights, a little over 60% of users have upgraded to iOS6 a month after it was available for download. The data was based on “a sample of hundreds of millions of mobile ad impressions coming out of the Chitika Ad network ranging from September 19th to October 19th, 2012.”
iOS6 brought a number of tweaks and improvements, but also removed previously available apps such as YouTube, and introduced Apple’s own Maps application, which received a wave of criticism for its inaccurate map data.
Chitika rounded off the post by stating “We expect small gains for the OS in the coming weeks, with the possibility of iOS 6 usage touching 70% once adoption peaks. The upcoming release of the iPad mini will likely accelerate this process.”
