Everyone with a grey import iPhone 5 line up.

The UAE telecome operator du has informed us that they will start selling the nano SIM card in their stores tomorrow. The process of swapping your current SIM card with a nano should be fairly straight-forward and possibly completed within five minutes.

“We are thrilled to offer our customers the latest SIM card technology, which can be used in newly-released smartphones. As always, we endeavour to deliver the most innovative solutions to our customers to meet their communications needs,” said Farid Faraidooni, Chief Commercial Officer, du.

The new nano standard for SIM cards is utilized by Apple’s iPhone 5 which is still not officially available in the region, however, has been selling really well in the grey market which can be guessed by the non-declining prices. the iPhone 5 has not been given an official date for the UAE however, it is expected to be available through du and Etisalat around the first week on November.
