1.5GHz processor, 8.7MP camera, and an app for Reddit…I mean for making gifs.
Nokia yesterday unveiled its Windows Phone 8 flagship device, the Lumia 920. And it’s packed with all the nifty features and high-end components to propel it right there on top of the anticipated list.
First, performance: it’s got a 1.5Ghz Snapdragon S4 processor, which is not only faster than other Lumia phones, but also on par with Samsung Galaxy SIII, and most likely, iPhone 5, as well. It also sports 1GB of RAM, an 8.7mp PureView camera (with image-stabilization and 1080p recording), a 4.5″ 1280×768 resolution screen, and a beefy 2,000mAh battery to power it all.
The 920 also features support for NFC and Qi-standard wireless charging, so get ready to buy some accessories too if you want to get the most out of the phone. But what will actually sell this phone is Cinemagraph, an app that makes gifs. You mean no more more Photoshopping to get Karma on Reddit? Yes please.
Lumia 920 is scheduled for a Fall release. No word on pricing.
