Expectedly priced more than double of what the official version will cost.

As expected, the iPhone 5 has landed in the UAE and people willing to pay the exorbitant prices can take the pleasure in bragging rights for being on the first to own the highly coveted phone.

While Apple hasn’t announced the iPhone 5 for Middle East yet, the pricing is expected to be identical to the iPhone 4S as that is what they have done in different parts of the world. So expect the iPhone 5 to cost AED 2199 for the 16GB version. Coming back to the gray market, it is currently selling for AED 4,999 at gridzDIRECT who have it in stock as per their website and expect to ship orders by 23rd September. I don’t have any experience with this site but noticed it on my twitter timeline and thought I’d plug it in. The more reliable JadoPado.com has a TDB next to the iPhone 5 pricing but expect to pay something similar- give or take a couple of hundred Dirhams.
