During this year’s GITEX, students at the GITEX Shopper will be paying only a third of the original entry fees, at AED 10. The 8 day shopping extravaganza is looked forward to by students and tech enthusiasts alike who want to buy the latest gadgets at discounted prices or with special promotions. Group bookings can also be done by the schools directly.

With students back to schools and universities about to start the new academic year, the organisers of GITEX Shopper today announced a substantial entry discount of 67% for students who pre-book in a group of 50 or more. The price for a regular entry ticket is AED 30, but school and university students who take advantage of the group-booking discount will pay just AED 10.
GITEX Shopper, the region’s largest consumer IT and electronics show is offering more than just great entry prices for students. Running earlier this year for eight days, from 29 September to 6 October 2012 at its new home in Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), GITEX Shopper provides a selection of bundled deals and special prices on over 25,000 of the latest gadgets, gizmos and top tech products certain to be on the wish list of student shoppers.

Student groups taking advantage of the discounted entry prices can visit the between Sunday and Thursday, if they pre-book for their group of 50 or more people. Group bookings for students can be prearranged by their educational institution’s management. But it won’t be all tech and no play for students visiting GITEX Shopper this year. GITEX Shopper 2012 will take place from 29 September – 6 October 2012. The show is open from 11:00am – 10:00pm from Saturday 29 September to Wednesday 3 October; from 11am – 11pm on Thursday 4 October to Saturday 6 October. For the first time ever, the event will open for longer hours on Friday from 11:00am.
