Regional market will be in first wave.
The very highly anticipated and all-new BlackBerry 10 devices will be rolling out worldwide early next year. RIM’s CEO Thorsten Heins mentioned that the device will be rolled out in three waves across the globe with markets in Wave 1 getting the devices before anyone else in the world. Mike -Al-Mefleh from RIM’s UAE office confirmed to tbreak yesterday that UAE and many other GCC countries will be amongst the first wave of markets to get the new BlackBerry 10 device. It’s good to know that RIM understands and appreciates the customer loyalty from RIM supporters in the region and is rewarding them by being the first in the world to get the new BlackBerry 10 devices.
BlackBerry 10 is the new Operating System from RIM that is built ground-up to compete with the likes of Android and iOS. The new devices based on BB10 haven’t been announced yet but are widely expected to be available by January to February next year. What RIM has said is that the first BlackBerry 10 device will be a full touch device followed by a touch/keyboard form factor within a month of that.
