SuperDAE is done leaking information off the dev kit. And he has now made a cool profit of it.
A leaked edition of a next-gen Xbox dev kit, codenamed Durango, was selling on eBay. The item was sold for $20,000 within a day.
The seller is, of course, SuperDAE who previously leaked images from the dev kit and posted information on Kinect 2.0. The user has now decided to sell the system to make a cool profit, which I am sure will be lapped up by deep-pocketed individuals looking to get an early access to Microsoft’s new console (although they might not be able to do much with it).
The auction only has the following image of the dev kit, which from the outside looks like an old PC system. The image also appears to have been Photoshopped out from a background, an attempt to hide anything that might identify him.
It is of course unclear if the sale will actually happen, but what is surprising is that Microsoft did not take any action against the auction. Usually, companies immediately contact eBay or any other site its hardware is selling on to remove the auction, but SuperDAE has seemingly sold his item without any trouble. What we will see of this next? We will have to wait to find out, we guess.
