It’s boxy and inspired by Windows.
Microsoft has unveiled a brand new logo. The new update comes 25 years since the company made any changes to its corporate logo.
The update comes at a time when the iconic corporation is on the verge of a range of major product releases including Windows 8, Windows Phone 8, and the Surface tablet.
The new logo takes its colors from its previous, “wavy” logo — red, green, yellow and blue, but gone are the wavy edges, the logo is now square. It is similar to the Windows 8 logo and in line with Microsoft’s recent design direction. The lettering in the “Microsoft” portion of the new logo is known as Segoe.
