Facebook adds ‘save story’ feature for iPhone, iPad

You can now save a wall post to be read later in the day.

Facebook has added a new feature for its iPhone and iPad users that allows them to ‘save’ a wall post to be read later.

To save a post, you must press and hold on a post you want to save, following which a popup that says “Save” will appear. Click on Save and the post will be stored in your ‘Saved’ folder.

The ‘Saved’ folder can be accessed from the sidebar, however the app must be physically added into it. To do so, load up the sidebar, click on Edit Favorites, tap the ‘+’ sign, scroll to find the ‘Saved’ app from the list and add it in. The ‘Saved’ folder should now appear on your sidebar where you can read all your stored wall posts. To remove a post, it must be marked as removed in order to do so.

Thankfully, the ‘save’ feature is private, meaning Facebook will not shout out to your friend list what you have been saving, and ignoring.

Apparently, the feature is a roll-out as we have yet to receive it. There is no update to download to add the feature in, the Facebook app should notify you of it when it’s available (see picture above).
