Indonesian PC gamer tops the chart with his 4-way SLI GTX680 setup.
Hazzan, an Indonesian PC enthusiast, has broken the record of the world’s most overclocked graphics card setup.
Using 3DMark 11 as the benchmark, Hazzan’s 4-way SLI GTX680 powerhouse scored P33190, a good 39 points ahead of the now second record holder J.Lin from Hong Kong.
The final rig to achieve the score was the following:
- Intel Core i7-3930K @ 5784MHz
- 8GB quad-channel Gskil DDR3 memory @ 2480MHz
- Antec High Current Pro 1300W PSU
- Asus Rampage IV Extreme motherboard
- Asus GTX680 DirectCU II w/ adopted liquid nitrogen cooling.
The record was was made during the ROG Absolute Zero Extreme OC event held over the weekend.
While the feat is certainly impressive, what is even more so is the way it was achieved. Pictures of his setup is below, and it’s quite a fascinating sight. The hardware is scattered around with wires protruding from possibly everywhere, with liters of nitrogen poured into the graphics card in order to prevent it from just combusting into nothing. That’s a lot of work.
