Apple will follow it’s famous announce-and-release formula with the new iPhone as well, releasing it only 9 days after the announcement.
The iPhone 5, iPad Mini and a new version of the iPod Nano will be announced at a special Apple event on September 12, 2012, according to “accurate” sources over at iMore.
The source claims that the iPhone 5 or ‘the new iPhone’ as it might be called, will release 9 days after the announcement, on September 21, 2012. There is no specific release date for the iPad Mini, or the new iPod Nano, however the former could release along with the iPhone 5.
If the dates are accurate, this will put the iPhone 5 launch at just over 11 months after the iPhone 4S, unlike the 16 months that separated the iPhone 4S and iPhone 4’s release.
Very little is known about either of the devices as typical with every new release coming out of the Cupertino HQ. A block of images of the new iPhone were leaked yesterday, however, showing the new 4” screen, the controversial new charging connector and a slightly modified body from the iPhone 4.
