Apple released the latest version of OS X Mountain Lion yesterday and it can be bought and downloaded from the Mac App Store. The price for this upgrade which bumps OS X to 10.8 is US$19.99 or AED 75 which is a pretty attractive price for just about anyone to upgrade.
New features of Mountain Lion include Notification Center than will inform you of new emails, appointments, tweets etc., iCloud integration that lets you sync your notes and reminders along with what was previously supported between your Mac and your iOS device, a new Messages Application that add iMessage support and PowerNap that updates your emails and appointments even when your Mac is asleep.
Twitter integration is also built-in now and Facebook integration is coming this fall. Apple has also updated their Safari browser for version 6 which finally gets rid of the search bar and lets you use your address bar to search. The new version of Safari also allows you to sync opened tabs between different Macs and iOS devices. Safari can be downloaded for older versions of OS X however Windows users haven’t received the update.
Besides Mountain Lion, Apple has released updated versions of iWork as well that now brings support for the new OS as well Retina displays so your presentations, documents and spreadsheets look beautiful on your shiny new MacBook Pro.
