Apple has announced that the long awaited OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion will be available today. It did so in its Q3 financial earnings report yesterday.

While the exact time hasn’t been announced, Mac users in the UAE and around the world will be able to download the release through the digital Mac App Store sometime today. The update is priced at $19.99. Anyone who bought a new Mac on or after June 11 will have 30 days to upgrade to Mountain Lion for free. The system software update will be available to Snow Leopard users in addition to Lion users.

OS X 10.8 is a significant update that promises to bring more of the iPad and iOS experience to the Mac and includes a host of features including enhanced iCloud integration, Notification Center, improved Safari and Mail, Twitter and Facebook integration, voice dictation and Notes and Reminders apps.
