Microsoft may bring out Office on iPad by November

Hedging bets against Windows 8′s success?

Microsoft will be bringing out their Office suite on the iPad later this year, more specifically launching it during their SharePoint conference on November 12 this year, if the source for Business Insider is correct.

The Office suite will be competing directly with Apple’s own suite consisting of Keynote, Pages and Numbers, all of which can be had for $30. Pricing will, of course, be crucial, but for the most part it seems that Microsoft would want to have a revenue stream coming out from the incredibly huge market of iPads.

Not to say that this won’t affect their own Windows 8 based tablets once they are also launched, but it never hurts to have two revenue streams, even when it is coming from a direct competitor.
