Powerhouse performance in a eye-catching design.

Lenovo today announced its IdeaCentre A720 All-In-One (AIO) desktop, the world’s slimmest AIO. The new IdeaCentre A720 AIO, features a sleek 27-inch screen along with 10-point multi-touch,and has a hinge for comfortable use and viewing from different angles.

“As the number one provider of consumer desktop PCs worldwide, Lenovo prides itself in pushing the design and performance envelope to provide users with the best possible computing experience,” said Jack Lee, General Manager MEA, Lenovo. “The IdeaCentre A720 takes touch computing to the next level thanks to its unique hinge for angled viewing and multi-touch capability, and svelte, powerful design.”

Khaldoun Aboul-Saoud, Intel Regional Manager for Market development GCC & ME added, “Over the last few years the desktop market has evolved shifting away from the standard beige box desktop PC in to the sleek all-in-device we see today powered by the latest Intel® Core™ Series processors. We believe this form factor will prove to be extremely popular as they reduce clutter and space whilst additionally packing a wide range of technology features including touchscreen capabilities.”

The IdeaCentre A720 measures less than an inch (24.5mm) and combines a frameless display supporting 10-point multi-touch. Powering the A720 are the latest Intel® Core™ Series processors and NVIDIA® GeForce® graphics with up to 1TB HDD and 64 GB SSD2 storage. From my hands-on with the unit it responded to most tasks quickly and the huge screen real-estate was a big plus. There are a selection of USB ports available as well as a slot-loading DVD-RW and memory card reader. What’s also great is that the unit not only sports an HDMI-out port to connect another display, but also features an HDMI-in which means you can connect a console to it and use it as a large gaming monitor.

The IdeaCentre A720 AIO desktop will be available in the UAE starting at AED 6,999 – stay tuned in the coming week for our review of this awesome machine.
