When a regular wash just won’t do.

Ever went to a salon and wished you could always have someone else massage and wash your hair? Well Panasonic apparently think the same, and have come up with a genius robot that washes, massages, and rinses out your hair.

The Head Care Robot comes with 24 robotic ‘fingers’ to massage your scalp and work away at all that stress. The device scans your head to optimize placement of the shower nozzles and fingers, and then gets to work applying water and shampoo. The system is currently undergoing trials in the Super Hair Seo in Nishinomiya, Japan, and feedback so far looks promising.

The machine will eventually also be used for elderly or disabled patients, and Panasonic hopes to go into production as soon as possible. In the meantime, you’ll have to make do with the regular-old 10-finger massage from an average human.
