Carelessness can go a long way.

Two robbers paid a visit to a 17 year old girl’s house in Bundanoon, Australia, on Thursday night just hours after she posted a picture of a ”large sum of cash” on her Facebook. The two masked men, armed with a knife and a club, broke in during the night searching for the money, but were told by the mother of he teenage girl that she no longer lived there. They ran off with a small amount of money in the house and some personal belongings, without harming anyone int he house.

The teenager had earlier helped her 72 year old grandmother count the cash, in her home in Sydney, some 120 kilometers away from Bundanoon. The girl had posted the counted sum of money on her Facebook.

It is unknown at the time what privacy settings were used on the girl’s Facebook, and whether the job was done by someone randomly browsing her profile or a “friend” of hers on Facebook.

From auditing to editing, I now test and analyze the latest gadgets and games instead of the latest financial statements. Both jobs are equally intense and rewarding. When I'm not burning up hardware in the name of science, you'll find me nuking in DOTA 2 or engineering in TF2.
