11.1 million units of the Blackbery family also shipped.
Though it’s too late for the Blackberry Playbook to be deemed anything more than a failure, it’s suddenly a product worth investing into considering how dirt cheap it is and the new Playbook 2.0 OS which adds a lot of new functionality that should have been there in the first place. Now, RIM reports how much of the product they shipped recently.
The company reported in a press release that they have shipped over 500,000 of the tablets in the last quarter that passed, which is pretty major considering they shipped 900,000 Playbooks in the first nine months of the product’s lifetime.
They also reported sales of 11.1 million units of the Blackbery family, but that is still lower than last year and the profits and stocks of the company are plummeting. Here’s hoping Blackberry 10 betters their woes.
