Galaxy Nexus owner takes care of it.
Microsoft has a public challenge going on in the US called “Smoked by Windows Phone” that puts you with your smartphone against a Microsoft employee with Windows Phone. The challenge is that if you can do tasks faster on your phone than the MS employee, then you get a Hunger Games PC (HP Folio 13 Special Edition) valued at $1,049.00.
However, a recent challenger, Sahas Katta with his Galaxy Nexus, managed to win the challenge. Lady luck was smiling on Katta when his challenge was to bring up the weather of two different cities as he had two weather widgets on his home screen and no lock on the phone. The store manager where this was taking place told Katta that the weather widget was required to show two different cities in different states, and that his Android phone “could not do that”. Not only that but Katta was asked to take a picture in front of a sign that read, “My Android was smoked by Windows Phone.
Now you would certainly expect a young person carrying a Galaxy Nexus to not sit down quietly when he know about this little thing called the Internet. Needless to say, he got results and Microsoft’s Ben Rudolph has since tweeted that while he wasn’t there, the company will make things right for Katta. “I want to make things right,” “So I’ve got a laptop & phone (& apology) for you. Email me!”
