Console quality graphics? Well, almost.

Either ahead of time or an intended slip, iOS game developer Cybertime has posted a graphics update to its platformer Crazy Hedgy that supposedly features support for iPad 3′s new internals.

According to the press release, the graphics quality matches that of a dedicated console game, and while that is a long stretch, the texture resolution and the variety of visual candies does impress.

“3D engine perfectly aligns to the resolution of the display hardware and so supports the full pixel count. Complex program shading and post-effects makes Crazy Hedgy even more of a rich visual experience to embrace and enjoy – offering a standard of graphics hitherto not available on the App Store.”

Check out the video and screeshots from the game below.

iPad 3 has been announced by Apple at a press event today. The tablet will have a 2048 x 1536 resolution display, A5x quad core processor and 5MP camera. More details coming.
