Quad-core power in your pockets.

During Nvidia’s financial call over the weekend, some interesting new came out amid the falling revenue as Tegra 2 sales dropped surprisingly fast.

CEO Jen-Hsung Huang announced during the earnings call that Tegra 3 powered smartphones will be out, essentially before April this year as reported by Android Central.  ”This quarter we are expecting to ship Tegra 3 based superphones. At Mobile World Congress is when we expect to announce these devices, and we expect to announce and ship them this quarter.”

As of now, there are only a handful of Tegra 3 powered devices on the market, all of which are tablets. For instance the ASUS Transformer Prime, Acer Tab A700, and the Lenovo IdeaPad K2. The new Tegra 3 powered devices will be shown at MWC at the end of this week, and we’ll be sure to cover them.

From auditing to editing, I now test and analyze the latest gadgets and games instead of the latest financial statements. Both jobs are equally intense and rewarding. When I'm not burning up hardware in the name of science, you'll find me nuking in DOTA 2 or engineering in TF2.
