Acer has made a few announcements to start off CES 2011. In a press conference, the company announced a new 1080p Iconia Tab, the first tablet of this kind of resolution from Acer.
According to Engadget, the tablet will feature Android 4.0, and will have an NVIDIA Tegra 3 Quad Core processor. Other than that, not much info about the specs, price or release date is given.
Another announcement came from Acer regarding the launch of Acer’s new cloud storage system, dubbed AcerCloud. According to Acer, AcerCloud “makes it easy to take photos on a smartphone while on the go, and then view them on a main PC at home or in the office, without the delay and complication of manually transferring files. It also allows users to purchase a movie from an all-in-one PC, and then watch it on a tablet or smartphone on a train or airplane”.
While the service will support Android exclusively at first, Windows support will follow soon to be available to Acer PC’s released in the second quarter of 2012.
