iPad 3 coming in 3-4 months?

Here’s an interesting yet unconfirmed bit of news. Apple had previously said that they aren’t planning to release their next version of the iPad in quite some time because of a lack of competition. But a website reports that their sources suggest that a new iPad is not only coming soon, it’s coming in a few months.

DigiTimes reports that the new iPad 3 will be available in the next 3-4 months because supply chains apparently have already started delivering parts for the product to OEM contractors while slowing down the shippings of the ones for iPad 2. This would go directly against what Apple said and would be quite a surprise, but the recent additions of Kindle Fire into the market might have Apple rethinking their stance.

Of course, this could just be a rumor but if it is true, expect demand for iPad 2 to come tumbling down.
