MeMo comes complete with Ice Cream Sandwich and bundled phone.

The Asus Eee Pad MeMo showcased a couple of months ago has finally got its own release date. The folks over at Phandroid have it from their sources that it’s set for a January launch. The Eee Pad MeMo also comes with Ice Cream Sandwich and it’s little MeMic buddy.

The 7-inch tablet, featuring the latest iteration of the Android OS, Ice Cream Sandwich, is set to come bundled with it’s own little ‘mini-me’. The bundled device, affectionately known as the ‘MeMic’ works via bluetooth and acts as a remote control for the device itself, enabling users to control and listen/view what ever media they have on their tablet. It also acts as a phone, thus giving the tablet a rounder experience.

What remains to be seen is how the public will take to the duo. Is being attached to one single phone/tablet combo too much?
