Windows, Google and iOS dominate usage

Internet Explorer and Safari tag behind.

In a recent report released by NetMarketShare, data reveals what are some of the most popular operating systems, browsers and search engines around the world. NetMarketShare looks to be pretty effective in gathering usage statistics, so if you’d like a quick overivew of their testing methodology, check out this infographic.

So first off, the 2 billion people who use the internet around the world still do it on  desktop and laptop computers; 94.2%. Mobile usage is still at 5.5%. The rest of the data can be seen below.

No real surprises there, except the fact that Bing, despite all of Microsoft’s many, many efforts, is still used so less.
