Showing you the smart homes of tomorrow.

This year Panasonic presented not just their ‘superior eco-products’ that are designed to conserve energy, but also debuted their Smart Home Energy Management system.

This new process allows one to create energy (via solar panels), store energy (via fuel cells), and them control and consume energy. Panasonic claims that this system can cut down your electricity bills by half and more, depending on your consumption.

There’s also an iPad app which allows you to control various aspects of the home, such as A/C temperature, TV channels, security camera feeds, etc. All of this revolutionary tech is a glimpse into the future of “smart homes”, a very realistic future that can be a part of every modern day home sooner than you think.

From auditing to editing, I now test and analyze the latest gadgets and games instead of the latest financial statements. Both jobs are equally intense and rewarding. When I'm not burning up hardware in the name of science, you'll find me nuking in DOTA 2 or engineering in TF2.
