Biggest launch for a phone. Ever.

There are a very few companies that manages to break its own record, and at a consistent pace. Apple is one of them. After the stupendous launch of the iPhone 4, the company yesterday announced that the iPhone 4S has done even better.

The iPhone 4S sold 4 million units in just 3 days after launch, which is not only double to that of the iPhone 4, but the highest launch-sales recorded for a mobile phone, ever.

“iPhone 4S is off to a great start with more than four million sold in its first weekend—the most ever for a phone and more than double the iPhone 4 launch during its first three days,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “iPhone 4S is a hit with customers around the world, and together with iOS 5 and iCloud, is the best iPhone ever.”

Apple dropped stats for iOS 5 as well, saying the new update has been download and is being used by more than 25 million users worldwide. More than 20 million users have signed up for iCloud.

Now imagine if this was the iPhone 5…
