Apart from the Kingston SSD, the Zbox Nano won’t be breaking any records with it’s Zacate E-350 processor. With that in mind, I have compared it with the HP DM1 laptop. The DM1 has the same CPU, runs on a 7200rpm HDD and 3GB ram. Price wise it’s MSRP is AED 1,999 but you can find it in places such as Carrefour for as low as AED 1,600. Given the small size of the DM1 and price range of the DM1, it seems like a good enough candidate for benchmark comparisons.

As you can see the general performance remains comparable to the Pavilion DM1; as will be the case with any E-350 based system. So it’s decent enough to multitask on a small scale and can also play games at lowest settings. However, the Zbox Nano is designed to be an HTPC, not a desktop replacement machine, so let’s see how it fares in that department.

From auditing to editing, I now test and analyze the latest gadgets and games instead of the latest financial statements. Both jobs are equally intense and rewarding. When I'm not burning up hardware in the name of science, you'll find me nuking in DOTA 2 or engineering in TF2.
