Hopes to best last year’s record.

Jumbo Electronics, one of the biggest local retailers in the UAE, has confirmed participation in this year’s Gitex 2011 – both for Shopper and Technology Week.

Jumbo recorded a “double digit” per cent increase in sales at Gitex Shopper 2010 and hopes to bring in a lot more this year, as well.

“GITEX Shopper is an extremely important event for us because it gives us the opportunity to connect with customers and is also a great indicator of which products are in highest demand. Along with deals for some great value offers, we also look forward to launching new products at the event,” said Deepak Khetrapal, CEO, Jumbo Electronics. “Though sales are important, GITEX Shopper also gives us the opportunity to reach out to our customers beyond our stores. We will have exciting activities at this year’s event that will help visitors interact with the Jumbo brand.”

For the Technology Week, the retailer will be present with its Jumbo-EAJ division, showcasing its various design, building, networking and IT based solution for industries such as hospitality, retail, education, healthcare, etc.

Gitex 2011 begins from October 8.
