Android Ice Cream Sandwich on video

Google’s unreleased version of Android gets the shaky cam treatment.

The story goes something like this- a person buys a a Google Nexus S device from eBay and when he receives it, it is actually loaded with an unreleased version of Android- 4.0 AKA Ice Cream Sandwich. This is the version of Android that will unify the Tablet and Smartphone version into one and is expected to be released sometimes in October or November. The device was probably owned by a Google Engineer before who forgot to roll it back to a released version of Android. Here is that video.

As you can see from the video, the Smartphone is looking a bit like the Tablet version of Android which is a good thing. You also have four icons on the bottom now and a dedicated folder for Google Apps. You can have task switching like Honeycomb which, honestly speaking, doesn’t look that great on a Smartphone. Lastly, the notification bar has also been somewhat tweaked to look like the Tablet version.
