Hits shelves this October

If you don’t know Razer, you’re not a gamer. Razer has built an enviable reputation in the world of gaming hardware, putting the three snake logo on everything from motion sensing controllers like the Hydra, to cable management systems. So this latest green creation isn’t much of a surprise to any of us.

This is part of what Razer is calling ‘the essentials’, a good looking entry level gaming headset that can also be used with your smartphone. For that it brings an useful inline mic, detachable, to the party. It also features the much-needed compatibility with your favourite Blackberry, iPhones and HTC smart phones.

The ear pads are said to be “premium leatherette ear cushions that mold perfectly to the shape of your ears.” In English? One size fits all.

While they do admittedly look awesome, we’ll have to wait to get our hands on one to pass a definitive verdict. The Electra will hit stores everywhere this October. Official retail price is $59.99
