Sony S1 tablet to feature some sort of connectivity with Playstation 3.
A report from Cnet suggests that Sony will finally enter the tablet market early next month. The Japanese giant is expected to release its anticipated S1 and S2 tablets before the IFA consumer electronics trade show in Berlin which begins on September 2.
The report also adds that the S1 tablet, which will come in WiFi and 3G, as well in 16GB and 32 GB varieties, will feature some sort of connectivity with the PS3 console, though it is unclear what it may be. The tablet can be used as a remote control for TVs, Blu-ray players and other products (assumingly Sony branded). The battery life is claimed to be as good as iPad’s.
The second tablet, S2, which features two 5.5-inch screens, will be available in WiFi + 3G model only. It will also be available in 16Gb and 32Gb varieties. Both the S1 and S2 will run on the Honeycomb version of Android. Pricing is still unknown.
