Check out what’s the best AMD Llano motherboard.
The Gigabyte A75-D3H is the closest competitor to the ASUS F1A75-V PRO in terms of price ($120 / AED 480) and performance. Of all the boards, this is the one board that has the fastest stock performance straight out of the box, and is also the one with more overclocking option on hand.
While the ASUS motherboard didn’t allow me to change the onboard GPU speeds, the Gigabyte BIOS, old fashioned as it looks, gave me full control over all voltages and speeds for the CPU, GPU and FSB. As usual, no matter of FBS speed increase over 100 would allow me to boot into the system, so I had to go with manually overclocking the CPU and GPU speeds to 3.6GHz (from 2.9GHz) and 1000MHz (from 600MHz) respectively. And as with my original test of the AMD Llano A8-3850 APU review, there was virtually no speed increase once again.
So performance actually fell, miniscule as it is.
