Google launches Catalogs App for iPad

Android version coming soon!

Google launched a new app for tablet PCs yesterday called Google Catalogs. The idea is simple, you can now browse through the catalogs of various brands, find out the nearest stores which sells those items, and then even share certain products with friends.

It’s a great idea which I can see being adopted by many retailers (not just brands) where an online catalog is available to tablet (and even smartphone) users, and people can make purchases online and even recommend products to others within their social circles.

For now the app seems like it could use a few more bug fixes, and a whole lot more catalogs from different types of brands. So go ahead and check out the Google Catalogs for your iPad. Meanwhile Google have said that people should “stay tuned for Google Catalogs for Android tablets, coming soon!”

From auditing to editing, I now test and analyze the latest gadgets and games instead of the latest financial statements. Both jobs are equally intense and rewarding. When I'm not burning up hardware in the name of science, you'll find me nuking in DOTA 2 or engineering in TF2.
