Google+ adds games to their social network

Google+ starts competing with Facebook games with Angry Birds, Dragon Age Legends and more.

Google+ had a boosting start with 25 million users signing up for the service even with lots of restrictions of initial sign-ups but it is still far away from competing Facebook traffic. Research data indicate that the biggest user base of Facebook doesn’t come from people who use social feeds but from those who come to play social games. So, next logical step for Google+ was to add those games to its network.

Google+ has launched its games initiative with around 25 games available to play right now including: Dragon Age: Legends, Angry Birds, Zynga Poker and Bejeweled Blitz etc. Google has requested more web game developers to join their network and support them by bringing their games to their more secure and open platform. This may not be a bad deal for developers as it will just assure them alternate source of traffic and revenue for their games. Hopefully Google and Game developers will both benefit from this win-win initiative.

The games portal will be available @
