Symbian Belle – shows its Android inspired interface

Symbian shows guideline documents to provide silky slick new interface for its Belle update.

Symbian versions have started to show a new trend of naming conventions just like Android has fancy food names to name its versions. The latest Symbian running on E6 and X7 is called Symbian “Anna”. And the next one will be called Symbian “Belle”. Nokia has shown the interface design documents for its new interface and they look very much inspired from Android’s cool pull down notification interface.

Obviously Nokia is not gonna adopt Android system any time soon, plus any expectations for that were killed after Windows Phone 7 deal. So, Symbian is growing its own claws to provide its loyal users the interface facelift they wanted. Belle update will come to Symbian^3 phones and future Nokia handsets by 4th Quarter of 2011.
