Only four lucky phones for the time being…

Skype released a major update today for its Android application which brings two way video calling to the masses.

Although currently only four phones are supported, Google Nexus S, HTC Desire S, and the Xperia Neo and Pro, but we suspect that updates for the rest of the Android world will follow soon.

The new update also brings a  fresh user interface and SMS messaging, and this is thankfully without handset restrictions. Reportedly, the new update brings a offers a wonderful user experience. Filled to the brim with a multitude of options, it manages to blend looks with great functionality. The interface is intuitive and simple, but the frame rates are high enough for smooth, fluid video.
