Report places Samsung as the top dog in the US smartphone market

According to a new comScore report featured in Phandroid, consumers seem to see Samsung as their brand of choice with Samsung devices making up for 24.8% of the US market share.
LG comes in at the second largest OEM manufacturer with 21.1% and then motorolla with 15.1%
The Single-OS manufaturers Apple and RIM bring in the rear of the top 5 with 8.7% and 8.1% respectively.
Samsung’s combination of strong marketing ploys, multiple OS offerings and its great hardware may be prime reasons for its dominance. a noticeably absent player in this list was HTC.
