Attempts to ‘streamline legal proceedings.’
Samsung has quietly withdrawn one of its lawsuits against Apple, which blamed the Cupertinos of using some of Samsung’s innovations to use on their products such as the iPhone and iPad, according to a report from Bloomberg.
Samsung dropped the lawsuit to ‘streamline legal proceedings’, the report said, so that the company can now concentrate of defending its patent rights from the evil clutches of Apple. Other lawsuits raised against Apple won’t be affected, however.
“Samsung will continue to actively defend and protect our intellectual property,” said Nam Ki Yung, a spokesman for the South Koeran company.
Samsung and Apple has been in a legal tussle for many months now, both seemingly shouting “no, you!” at each other whenever a claim is registered against them. It was first lighted by Apple who claimed Samsung copied its iPhone to design Samsung Galaxy S.
