Rumor: iPhone 6 to feature new charging method

It will be charged by magic. Well, that’s what Steve Jobs would say, anyways.

Yeah, yeah, iPhone 5 is yet to be seen, announced and released. But why limit ourselves to that when the rumor mill is busy churning for the next-next iPhone?

According to a report from Wall Street Journal, the iPhone 6 will feature a “new way of charging the phone”, although no further details were provided. One has to wonder what the technology could be, or if it will be similar to the Touchstone found in HP’s mobile devices, although that wouldn’t be exactly ‘new’ (at least to us).

Additionally, the report also claims that Apple is indeed working on a smaller, cheaper iPhone model with an edge-to-edge display, though no further information was provided again.

Apple is expected to announced the iPhone 5 in September, which so far is rumored to feature a brand new design, 8MP camera, button-less interface and loads of other wishful features cooked from the minds of hopeful fanboys.
