Mid 2011 Tablet Round-up

We pick seven tablets and decide which one is the best for your hard earned Dirhams

Acer Iconia

The Acer Iconia was the first reasonably priced Honeycomb tablet that we reviewed. With a brushed Aluminium chassis, the Iconia A500 is a pretty good looker but also has the muscles like the rest of the Honeycomb based tablets so you get the same dual core processor. One of it’s advantages is that is has a full USB sized port on the tablet itself allowing for some interesting future accessories.

Price: AED 2,099

The Good
Impressive build quality
Full sized USB port on the tablet

The Bad
Screen not that great with washed up colors
Bundled with lots of bloatware

wow! well done, Abbas Jaffar Ali! Thanks for this round up article. Very good and informative article indeed. I myself got in the Tablet hype and am happy to have been using one for sometime now. It gives me one great reason to ride and enjoy the metro in Dubai. As it has extended my ‘productive’ time by allowing me to read my ebooks and do more.
