Statistics follow launch of Windows Phone 7

A new ComScore report featured in BGR sheds light on mobile subscriber market share in the US.While, predictably enough, Google’s Android and Apple’s iPhone grew in leaps and bounds the shocker was the huge dip in Windows Phone market share.
While it may seem to be a minute drop, statistics show that back in November of last year, Microsofts Windows Mobile accounted for 9% of all smartphones in the US. this May however, that percentage shrank to a measly 5.8% (A 35% drop in Market share)
Only time will tell how the numbers will shift as Microsoft releases Version 7.5 (“Mango”) later this year as well as Nokia’s endorsement of the OS come next year.
