Microsoft claims its patents cover some technology used.

In yet another legal battle between two major tech firms, Microsoft, as reported in BGR, has asked Samsung to pay $15 for every android smartphone it makes.
The company believes that some of the patents they own cover the technology used in Samsung’s Android based phones. A similar claim was made to HTC last year which ended with HTC coughing up an ‘undisclosed sum’ per handset. A sum many believe to be in the range of $15 per device.
Samsung, it’s been reported, will most probably try and make a counter-offer of $10 per device. The company has been attacked on multiple legal fronts of late as it’s still battling the legal might of Apples lawyers in a case which accuses Samsung of copying Apple’s designs.
