Platform now supports subscription model, paid apps, and new payment options.

Press release:
Yalla Apps, the Windows Phone 7 developer portal that is now trusted by thousands of developers to publish their Apps into the Windows Phone 7 Marketplace, is now making its services even more convenient to the community.

Since its launch during Microsoft’s Tech-Ed in March, Prototype Interactive’s Yalla Apps has been embraced by the developer community. In response to its popularity, the platform has been upgraded and evolved further, with several new enhancements added. One of these includes a new payment service which opens up the platform to developers in Egypt and Pakistan.

Alexander Rauser, CEO of Prototype Interactive, said: “We are excited about this major update to Yalla Apps as it is a direct response to the feedback we got from the developer community. The growing number of developers in the region creating applications for Windows Phone 7 is very encouraging and we expect the system to improve even further over the coming months.”

The newest additions to the portal are helping the region’s developers to create, submit and make money from their apps quickly and easily, with Microsoft Middle East and Africa’s Gustavo Fuchs Microsoft Mobility Director, Middle East & Africa, commenting: “Our aim is to enable people to have easy access and availability to technology, to give them the means to use their skills. The new enhancements made on the Yalla Apps platform are the perfect way of making the platform even more accessible to developers in the Middle East and Africa region, with further ways for users to make revenue from their creations and get their apps out on the market using Windows Phone 7 Marketplace.”

The latest enhancements include:

-Paid Apps support, which will allow developers to submit their Paid Apps and generate revenues from their sales in the Microsoft Windows Phone 7 Marketplace.

- Addition of an alternative method of payment via MoneyBookers, which will now allow developers from countries like Pakistan and Egypt among others to sign up for the service, pay for a subscription and generate revenue from their App sales.

-More convenient charge structure, which will allow developers to submit many more Apps – Free or Paid – with their annual subscription. The new charge structure would allow the user to enjoy unlimited Paid App submissions, as many as 100 Free App submissions and a Free device unlock, for only 100 credits, which are automatically awarded to every Annual Subscription, priced at $99.

-The new charge structure is shown below:
Paid App Submission or Re-submission: 0 Credits
Free App Submission or Re-submission: 1 Credit
Device unlock: 0 Credits for the first device, 50 credits for additional devices.

The Yalla Apps Windows Phone 7 developer platform allows the region’s developers to go to www.yallaapps.com and sign up and start to unlock Windows Phone 7 phones for testing, submit, publish and earn money from all apps they develop. It is available to developers in more than 70 countries.
