Japanese company develops air-conditioned clothes

Necessity is the mother of inventions, they say, and there is no better example than this particular Japanese clothing company that has developed an air-conditioned jacket to beat the heat in the country.

The people in Japan are laying off the air-conditioners due to post-earthquake measures to save electricity and so such an ‘invention’ comes at the right time to save homes and offices from being a hot balloon of toxic sweat.

It’s a bit on the expensive side though at $150 a pop, but if you do choose to invest, the cool jacket comes installed with two large fans that circulate the air around the body.

It’s an ingenious concept and we could very much do with them here in the UAE. It costs as much as a Big & Tall T-shirt and keeps me cool. What else could I ask from a jacket?

The video embed is disabled at YouTube, so will have to pop over there to watch the cool jacket in action.
