Android Market gets a facelift

Android market has a new design, inspired from Windows Phone 7.

Android Market on Android 2.2 Froyo or higher has been given a nice new look. Google has totally overhauled the Android Market mobile interface to better showcase top apps and games.

The new Android Market layout adds a range of charts charts including which apps are among the top paid, top free and top grossing. It also handily cuts down the buying process to two taps. The interface looks very much Windows Phone 7 like tiles. For touch screens I do think that the desktop “button” standard should be replaced by tiles for faster / error free clicking. So, the new Android market adopting to the tile design is a welcome change. You can check the new interface in video below too:
