No consumer information was stolen, according to the publisher.
Nintendo said yesterday that it’s US-based servers were hacked several weeks ago, though fortunately, no consumer information was stolen.
“The server contained no consumer information. The protection of our customer information is our utmost priority,” Nintendo of America spokesperson told to Reuters in a statement.
“We constantly monitor our security”.
Hacker group Lulzsec claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it got one config file out of it. The group then added that they didn’t “mean any harm” and that Nintendo had “already fixed” the security loophole anyway.
“<3 them!” it added.
That’s a rather unique way to show your love.
