New range of LG TVs available in 42”, 45” and 47″ flavors.
LG has released its new range of Smart TVs in the UAE today. The Smart TVs feature built-in web browsing, ability to stream content from compatible devices,YouTube and Facebook access, and also ties in with Etisalat’s video on demand service, which allows users to purchase and view content offered by the telecom.
The LG Smart TVs will be available in 42”, 45” and 47″ sizes across multiple retailers in the region.

The innovative LG Smart TV will be available in leading retail outlets across the UAE starting June, 2011. The LG Smart TV provides customers with simple control of their home entertainment experience and the unique platform provides access to thousands of movies, customizable apps, videos and the ability to browse the Web. Al Sayegh Brothers are the exclusive distributors for the LG range of Audio Visual and TV products in the UAE.
The LG Smart TV is broadband-connected and designed to deliver Internet-based content, mostly video, from popular or social websites in addition to content from broadcast TV providers. The features are accessible through an easy navigating user interface and mouse-like point and click remote system giving the user an experience that is easy and fun with unlimited premium content.

LG is targeting and developing more than 550 applications for the LG App store in the first half of 2011. The platform includes a Web browser so users no longer need to turn on their laptop to access the internet. The LG Smart TV’s Smart Share function allows users to wirelessly stream content from their PC’s and other compatible devices for viewing on their television screen. Smart Share also includes Media Link, which provides additional information, such as cover art or liner notes, for content being streamed.
