OCZ RevoDrive Hybrid combines speed of SDD and capacity and cost of HDD

SSDs enjoy a great repute these days for their lightning fast speeds. But they end up being too pricy for a complete PC storage HDD replacement. OCZ RevoHybrid aims to bring the world of SSD speed and HDD low cost capacity together by linking them on a PCI board. These drives use HDD for storage and SSD as a cache for fast processing.

The lowest capacity model will offer 500GB HDD with 60GB SSD and will cost $350.  Capacities of pricier model will go up to 1TB HDD with 120GB SSD. OCZ aims to bring this hybrid drive to market by July 2011.
