Internet Explorer usage continues downward trend.
According to new numbers from StatCounter, Google’s Chrome web browser has been speedily galloping in on the market share, much thanks to the search giant’s TV advertisements in the US and UK.
While every browser jumped up in share, Chrome managed the biggest leap, increasing from 11.9 percent to 12.5 percent in overall browser market share during the month of May.
However, still much far behind, Google is slowly but surely creeping up behind Mozilla Firefox, which moved from 21.6 percent to 21.7 percent in May.
Internet Explorer usage continued to dwindle down, sloping from 55.1 percent to 54.3. On the positive side for Microsoft, user base for Internet Explorer 9 increased from 2.4 percent in April to 4.2 percent in May.
